Bamon sentenced to nine years rigorous imprisonment for rape of minor

The Special Judge POCSO, East Jaintia Hills District, Khliehriat has convicted Ruling Bamon for the rape of a minor child in East Jaintia Hills District six years ago and sentenced him to 9 years, months and 27 (twenty-seven) days rigorous imprisonment with a fine of Rs. 30,000 for an offence of rape under POCSO Act.

Bamon was arrested in connection with Khliehriat Police Station Case No. 164(09)2018 under POCSO Act and was Charge sheeted vide CS No. 122/2019 dated 31-10-2019.
