1 fresh COVID-19 case, 10 more recover in Meghalaya
Only one positive case of COVID-19 was detected while 10 patients were declared recovered from the viral infection on Wednesday.
Director of Health Services (MI) Dr Aman War said the single case was from East Khasi Hills district.
He said the recovered patients include 9 from East Khasi Hills and 1 from North Garo Hills.
So far, the state has detected a total of 13,741 COVID-19 cases out of which 89 are active cases, 13,506 recovered and 146 deaths.
East Khasi Hills has 78 active cases, East Jaintia Hills 3, Ri Bhoi 3, South West Garo Hills 1, West Garo Hills 1 and West Khasi Hills 3.
On the other hand, of the 3,30,810 persons who have tested for COVID-19 in the state as on date, 3,17,069 were tested negative for the virus even as 30 persons are in institutional quarantine and 58 under home quarantine.
There are 86,750 entrants from outside the state.
