10 Meghalaya Civil Defence & Home guard personnel honoured with DGCD Commendation Discs

Three officers, five personnel, and two Home Guards volunteers from the Meghalaya Civil Defence and Home Guards Organization were awarded Commendation Discs and Certificates by the Director General Fire Services, Home Guards, and Civil Defence, Ministry of Home Affairs, on the eve of the 61st Raising Day of Civil Defence and Home Guards.

Commandant of the Border Wing Home Guards Battalion, PH Khongsngi, received the prestigious Gold Disc. Meanwhile, B Sahkhar, 2nd in Command, Border Wing Home Guards Battalion, and S Langstieh, Superintendent, Directorate of Civil Defence and Home Guards, were conferred with Silver Discs. Deputy Controller of Civil Defence, SCR Sangma, was awarded the Bronze Disc, along with four other uniformed personnel and two Home Guards volunteers.

A total of 211 Commendation Discs, including one Gold, eight Silver, and 202 Bronze Discs, were awarded nationwide by the Ministry of Home Affairs to mark the occasion.
