10-year-old boy found murdered in Ri Bhoi district

A 10-year-old boy was allegedly murdered by unknown people at a village in Ri Bhoi District.

His body was recovered from a jungle near his residence at Umtangar village on Sunday evening, police said.

The deceased minor has been identified as Kitborlang Marbaniang. He was studying in class II.

Sources said that Kitborlang went out with his friends on Saturday and did not return home. His body was handed over to the family after a post-mortem examination.

An FIR has been filed with the Patharkhmah police station and investigation has started to nab the culprits behind the heinous crime.
