12 arrested for selling illicit liquor

In its continued drive against illicit liquor, the Excise staff of East Khasi Hills District conducted raids in restaurants, stalls in the town and its outskirts.

During the month of July 2023 detected 12 cases with a seizure of 31.950 litres of i/d liquor and 39.630 litres IMFL. In this connection, 9 persons were arrested under Excise Act.
