Due to a thoughtful convergence of various schemes, the construction of 130 meter long suspension bridge above River Myntdu became a reality in Tuber Kmaishnong village under Khliehriat Assembly Constituency of East Jaintia Hills District.
Painted in yellow and light blue colours, the suspension bridge overlooks the River Myntdu, the hillocks and paddy field and would undoubtedly be a local tourist attraction.
Conceptualised by the leaders of the Dorbar Shnong Tuber Kmaishnong, the suspension bridge was constructed in an area identified by them as a fish sanctuary.
Completed at a total cost of Rs.95 lakh, the funds for the construction of the suspension bridge were pooled from the convergence of MGNREGA, District Minerals Funds, PMKKKY and MBDA Funds.
