    Two BSF personnel sustained injuries after unidentified smugglers pelted stones on them on Sunday night in Nongkhen area, West Jaintia Hills district.

    The smugglers who are Bangladesh nationals acted violently when challenged by troops to stop them from carrying head load containing cosmetics items from India to Bangladesh.

    The BSF personnel showed utmost restraint and respecting human lives, did not open fire but managed to seize smuggling stuff of more than Rs. 7 lakhs from the place.
