2 new COVID-19 cases, 30 recoveries in Meghalaya
The state has recorded two new COVID-19 cases and 30 recoveries on Tuesday.
Director of Health Services (MI) Dr Aman War said the new cases include one each in East Khasi Hills district and East Jaintia Hills district.
Dr War informed that 30 patients who have recovered from the viral infection included 14 in West Jaintia Hills, 13 East Khasi Hills, 1 Ri Bhoi, 1 West Garo Hills and 1 West Khasi Hills.
So far, the state has detected a total of 13,944 COVID-19 cases out of which 100 are active cases, 13,696 recovered and 148 deaths.
East Khasi Hills has 78 active cases, West Jaintia Hills 16, Ri Bhoi 3, East Jaintia Hills 2 and West Khasi Hills 1.
On the other hand, of the 3,55,905 persons who have tested for COVID-19 in the state as on date, 3,41,961 were tested negative for the virus even as 26 persons are in institutional quarantine and 74 under home quarantine.
There are 91,580 entrants from outside the state.
