2 returnees test positive for COVID-19 in Meghalaya
Two persons, who returned from Uttar Pradesh recently, have been tested positive for COVID-19, taking the total of active cases in the state to 8.
Informing this, Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma tweeted, “Two persons who came from UP to South West Garo Hills have tested positive. They are under quarantine.

They came in a private vehicle and under home quarantine.”
This came after South West Garo Hills has recorded zero active cases on June 19 after the recovery and discharged of four patients.
The recovery rate in the state stands at 84 per cent on Sunday. It may be mentioned here that a total of 37 patients have recovered from the COVID-19 infection.
