21 December, next is the last schools day for 2022 in Meghalaya

The Meghalaya Govt on Monday announced 17th March, this year as the starting date of the Academic Session 2021-22.

This is as per notification issued by the Education Department vide No.EDN.168/2010/160 in order to ensure smooth conduct of the Academic Session 2022.

The End Dates for Academic Session 2022 for Pre-Primary is 30th November, next while for Classes 1-12 is 21st December, next.

The Half Yearly Examination will be decided by respective Schools.
Final Examination will be decided by respective Schools.
The Summer Break will be upon the wisdom of the respective Schools
While the Selection Tests for SSLC will continue to be decided by the Meghalaya Board of School Education(MBOSE).

100% syllabus to be followed for all levels.

For addressing curriculum | Learning Gap of Learners due to pandemic, the notification said the Schools should continue to undertake a Catch-up Course for all classes with sufficient time for those students who had limited access to online learning or who undertook self-study during the Pandemic. This is mandatory, and teachers should assess learning gaps of each student and to specifically address the skills/ competencies and knowledge areas not mastered by students to ensure learning in the current academic session.
