24 new COVID-19 cases reported in Meghalaya
The state has recorded 24 new COVID-19 cases and 3 recoveries on Saturday.
Director of Health Services (MI) Dr Aman War said all the twenty-four new cases are from East Khasi Hills district. He said the three patients who have recovered from the viral infection are also from the same district.
So far, the state has detected a total of 13,845 COVID-19 cases out of which 102 are active cases, 13,596 recovered and 147 deaths.
East Khasi Hills has 70 active cases, Ri Bhoi 20, West Jaintia Hills 5, West Khasi Hills 4, East Jaintia Hills 2 and West Garo Hills 1.
On the other hand, of the 3,44,070 persons who have tested for COVID-19 in the state as on date, 3,30,225 were tested negative for the virus even as 32 persons are in institutional quarantine and 70 under home quarantine.
There are 89,599 entrants from outside the state.
