244 cases settled across  Meghalaya in one day

A total of 244 cases were settled for a total amount of 37,26,135/- (Rupees Thirty seven lakhs twenty six thousand one hundred and thirty five) in the National Lok Adalat organized by Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority on Saturday.

The Lok Adalat was held in all the districts of the State of Meghalaya, under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA).

During the National Lok Adalat, 828 Pre-Litigation cases and 453 pending cases were taken up for settlement.

The Lok Adalat was held under patronage of Justice Sanjib Banerjee, Chief Justice, High Court of Meghalaya and Patron-in-Chief of  MSLSA and under the supervision of the Justice HSThangkhiew, Judge, High Court of Meghalaya and Executive Chairman of the Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority.
