25 faithful of Adventist Church donated blood

Emulating themselves as good samaritan, 25 faithful of the North East Adventist English Church, Khliehtyrshi, West Jaintia Hills District on Saturday came forward and donated blood for saving a life in the near future.

The 25 faithful who are still in their youths donated blood as part of their Annual Global Youth Day programme where this year’s theme was, “Be the Sermon”.

The Blood Donation Camp was jointly conducted by the North East Adventist English Church, Khliehtyrshi and Jowai Civil Hospital Blood Bank, Jowai, under the guidance of the medical team led by Dr, P. Shylla,

Initially 48 passionate youths lined up to register themselves for donating blood, but only 25 youths including five females were declared medically fit for blood donation.

Besides, the Blood Donation camp, the North East Adventist English Church also visited the orphanage home and De addiction centre where they interacted with the inmates and prayed for them.

The community had also conducted cleaning drive on Friday.

Senior Doctor & Health Officer, Incharge of Blood Bank Civil Hospital Jowai, Dr. P Shylla thanked the youth profusely for their continuous support and cooperation towards this noble cause.
