28 identified as high risk contacts of Meghalaya CM
Over 28 people have been identified as high risk contacts a day after Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma had tested positive for COVID-19.
“A total of 28 high risk contacts have been traced. However, so far no one has turned out to be positive,” Director of Health Services (MI) Dr Aman War told reporters on Saturday.
Asked, Dr War said there are many people who meet the Chief Minister.
“It is not only politicians but bureaucrats, office staff, people from various NGOs and various dorbar shnong,” he said.
Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma had tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday even as all high risk contacts have been asked to go for home isolation.
Meanwhile, Governor Satya Pal Malik along with his staff had tested negative for COVID-19. The governor had undergone testing after he had recently met the chief minister at Raj Bhavan.
