2nd Meghalaya State Weightlifting C’ship set for October 26 in Jowai

As part of the preparations for the Meghalaya Games, which will be held in Jowai and Wahiajer, the Meghalaya Weightlifting Association (MWA) is set to host the 2nd Meghalaya State Weightlifting Championship.

This event is scheduled for October 26 at Iungwalieh, Dorbar Shnong Tpeppale, Jowai.

President Donald Rymbai said, “The championship is an important step in identifying and nurturing the talent of young athletes from the Jaintia Hills region. We hope this event will encourage more youth to participate in weightlifting and contribute to the success of the Meghalaya Games.”

Khroobok Passah, DSO of West Jaintia Hills, added, “Promoting weightlifting in the Jaintia Hills is a priority, and this championship is a key part of that effort. We invite all young athletes, both boys and girls, to seize this opportunity and showcase their potential.”
