3-day event Xutradhar-2024 in Ayodhya to begin on September 20
Kutumba Surakshya Parishad, an Assam-based frontline nationalist organization has organized a three-day event “Xutradhar-2024” in Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh) on September 20, 21 and 22.
The event is based on the philosophy and sacred works of Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardeva to showcase the similarities of culture; togetherness in social behaviours; and the oneness in applied spiritual philosophy.
The Parishad has organized the event twice in last two years; “XutraDhar 2022” in Sridham Vrindavan (UP) and “Xutra Dhar 2023” in Ujjain (MP) to take forward the mission.
A national academic conference on “Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardeva – the Pioneer of Cultural Nationalism” as the main theme along with another 18 sub-themes is to be held with the collaboration of universities like: Assam Women’s University, Jorhat; Kumar Bhaskarverma University of Sanskrit and Ancient Studies, Nalbari; Srimanta Sankardeva Chair of Panjab University, Chandigarh with active and sincere participation from the universities like Deptt of Sanskrit, Gauhati University; Dibrugarh University; Jagannath Sanskrit University, Puri (Odisha); Lal Bahadur Sastri National Sanakirt University, New Delhi; Delhi University, New Delhi; Deen Dayal Uapadhaya Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur (UP); Dr Rammohan Lohia Avodh University, Ayodhya (UP); Deptt of Hindi, Tezpur University, Tezpur; Baranashi Hindu University, Varanashi (UP); Nagaon University; Madhabdeva University; Krishnaguru Adhyatmik Vishyavidyalaya; Vikram University, Ujjain (MP) etc.
The national academic will be coordinated by Prof. Kameswar Shukla, Deptt. of Sanskrit, Gauhati University with association from Dr Mahashweta Devi, HoD, Assamese, Assam Women’s University, Prof. Yojna Rawat, Coordinator, Srimanta Sankardeva Chair, Panjab University, Dr. Shalini Singh, Asst Prof Deptt. of Philosophy and Religion, Avodh University, and Devanshi Adhikari, Research Scholar, Deptt of Sanskrit, GU.
Addressing a press conference at Guwahati Press club in Guwahati on Friday, Kutumba Surakshya Parishad president Satya Ranjan Borah said there will be two separate compilatios of selected research papers; along with two magazines in both Hindi and English languages. The megazines will be edited by Bivek Kumar Mishra and Jyotirmoy Sarma/
Borah said apart from the highly awaited national conference; the event “XUTRADHAR” is a full packed cultural event too; with the performances like Satriya dance, performance of Borgeet, performance of three Bhaona (drama) written by Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardeva, performance of Dihanaam & Thionaam by 150 women under the supervison of Amiya Neog Kalita, a Ministry of Cultural Affairs recognized folk artist and Guru of Devotional Song “Dihanaam”. To perform the cultural programmes a sum of 300 young cultural activists from different places of Assam will be visiting to Ayodhya—Satya Ranjan Borah added.
He further added that “Ram-Bijoy”, “Rukmini-Haran” and “Daksha-Yajnya (Sati)” are the three Bhaonas (dramas) will be performed in the three day event by the members of Kutumba Surakshya Parishad and by other cultural activities.
On the occasion, the organizations also announced the names of the names of the awardees for the year.
Sanatan Surya Award will go to Mukunda Chandra Goswami, Satradhikar, Dinjay Satra, Chabua, Dibrugarh; Xutra Dhar award to Krishna Goswami, Satriya Artist, Majuli; Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardeva Sanskrit Sewa Sanman to Kameswar Shukla, Deptt. Sanskrit, Gauhati University; Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardeva Sahitya Sewa Sanman to Dr Sanjib Kumar Borkakoti, author-researcher, philosophy of Sankardeva; Sanskriti Sadhana Award to Ramcharan Bharali, Assamese Folk Artist, Nagara Naam, Nalbari; Samannaya Setu Bandhan Award to Ashok Das, Bhubaneswar (Odisha), Indradev Ji, Ayodhya (UP) and Mustafa Kamal Azhari (Assam); Hindu Chetna Award to Rahul Rabha, young social worker, Boko; Mohiruuh Sanman to Hembhai, Vaishnavite scholar and Tejaswini sanman will be given to Amiya Neog Kalita, Assamese Devotional singer, Sivsagar.
