31 fresh COVID-19 cases detected in Meghalaya
The state has detected 31 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday taking the number of active cases to 164 in the state.
Director of Health Services (MI) Dr Aman War said the new cases include 21 from East Khasi Hills district, 9 from West Jaintia Hills district and 1 from East Jaintia Hills district.
He said 4 patients have also recovered from the viral infection and all of them are from East Khasi Hills district.
So far, the state has detected a total of 13,924 COVID-19 cases out of which 164 are active cases, 13,612 recovered and 148 deaths.
East Khasi Hills has 104 active cases, Ri Bhoi 23, West Jaintia Hills 30, West Khasi Hills 3, East Jaintia Hills 3 and West Garo Hills 1.
On the other hand, of the 3,48,913 persons who have tested for COVID-19 in the state as on date, 3,34,989 were tested negative for the virus even as 44 persons are in institutional quarantine and 120 under home quarantine.
There are 90,592 entrants from outside the state.
