33 more tested COVID-19 positive in Meghalaya
Thirty-three more persons have been tested positive for coronavirus on Saturday taking the total active cases in the state to 631.
Director of Health Services (MI) Dr Aman War said the new cases include 26 in East Khasi Hills (15 civilians, 8 armed forces personnel and 3 BSF), 3 in Ri Bhoi (2 armed forces personnel and 1 civilian), 1 BSF in West Garo Hills, 1 in West Jaintia Hills, 1 in East Jaintia Hills and 1 in West Khasi Hills.
He said 527 of 631 active cases are in East Khasi Hills which include 250 BSF, 223 civilians and 54 armed forces personnel.
There are 46 cases in Ri Bhoi, 16 in West Garo Hills, 16 in East Jaintia Hills, 15 in West Jaintia Hills, 5 in West Khasi Hills, 4 in South West Garo Hills, and 2 in South Garo Hills.
Dr War further informed that 7 more persons including 6 BSF and a civilian have recovered from the infection taking the total recoveries in the state to 220.
