35 cases of anti-party acts; Cong issues notices to its leaders, workers
A total of 35 complaints from six districts have been received by the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) against its leaders and workers for their anti-party activities during the recently concluded Lok Sabha election.
The first meeting of the Disciplinary Action Committee of Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) which was held at Rajiv Bhavan here on Wednesday, decided to visit the districts and prepare a ground report on it.
As per the decision in the meeting, an official notice has been given to all party members regarding the placement of complaints against anti-party activities in the last elections.
After looking into the complaints the Committee will also visit the districts and apprise APCC president Bhupen Kumar Borah and AICC general secretary in charge Jitendra Singh on the matters from the ground level and after deliberation take appropriate action.
The meeting was attended by the members of the newly-constituted Disciplinary Action Committee chairman Nripen Thakuria, co-chairman Bobbeeta Sharma and member-secretary Shirazul Hussain Saikia.
