38 East Jaintia Hills Youths aspiring to be MCS officers
Altogether 38 youths from East Jaintia Hills District are aspiring to become the next batch of Meghalaya Civil Service (MCS) officers.
This 38 youths attended the orientation programme for MCS aspirants organized by the office of the Deputy Commissioner, East Jaintia Hills District at Khliehriat on Saturday.
A total of 6 sessions were taken on different pertinent topics by the young MCS officers. The aspirants actively participated and took advantage of the orientation session.

Post session, as instructed by DC, a WhatsApp group has been formed with the aspirants for continuous mentoring.
The orientation programme was organized by the office of the Deputy Commissioner, East Jaintia Hills District following the demand of a coaching centre for MCS, MPS etc examination by the Jaintia Students Movement (JSM) Central Body.
As a good will gesture, the JSM distributed a pen and a notebook each to all the 38 aspirants.
The JSM also put up a banner in the venue where they thanked the Deputy Commissioner Khliehriat for organizing the orientation programme for the MCS aspirants. But the JSM requested the DC Khliehriat to set up full fledged coaching centre for preparing the youths for MCS, MPS, UPSC,SSC examinations.etc
