397 positive COVID-19 cases detected during random testing
Over 23,200 people were tested during random testing conducted by the health department across the state.
Director of Health Services (MI), Dr Aman War said a total of 23,221 people were tested, of which 397 came out positive for COVID-19.
He said 203 of 12,083 were tested positive for coronavirus during the random testing in East Khasi Hills, 124 of 3,295 in West Garo Hills, 23 of 2150 in Ri Bhoi, 3 of 1,266 in East Jaintia Hills, 12 of 1028 in North Garo Hills, 27 of 506 in West Khasi Hills, 3 of 93 in East Garo Hills and 2 of 564 in South Garo Hills.
Those tested negative include 908 in West Jaintia Hills, 630 in South West Garo Hills, 198 in South West Khasi Hills, Dr War said.
