4.4 magnitude earthquake hits West Khasi Hills District of Meghalaya
An earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale hit West Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya during the wee hours of Tuesday.
As per National Centre for Seismology the tremors were felt at 01:13 am today. The quake struck at a depth of 10 km on latitude 25.69 North and longitude 91.15 East with its epicentre at West Khasi Hills, Meghalaya.
Tremors were also felt across Shillong, Assam. No casualty or damage of property has been reported so far.
