4 people killed by landslide at Nongpriang village

Four persons died following a devastating landslide in a remote village of East Khasi Hills District.

The incident took place at Nongpriang village under Sohra Civil Sub-Division, police said.

Four people are feared dead after they were buried by the landslide, they said.

Rescue teams have rushed to the spot to find survivors.

Sources informed that the victims have been identified as Phisar Nongrum (75), Kynmaw Syngai (70), Benti Riahtam (60) and Master Lumlang Riahtam (16).
