4 tests positive for COVID-19 at Meghalaya secretariat

Four employees at the state secretariat have tested positive for COVID-19.

Government sources on Thursday informed that the four employees include an officer, staff and peons of the secretariat.

It was also informed those tested positive were from the finance and law departments.

Sources further said that the government is likely to take a decision for declaring the state secretariat as a containment area if more cases are detected after a random testing, which will be conducted very soon.

The first COVID-19 case in the secretariat was detected on Wednesday.
