43.170 litres of Indian Manufacture Foreign Liquors seized in East Khasi Hills

In its continued drive against illicit liquor/illegal sale of IMFL, beer, wine etc, the office of the Deputy Commissioner (Excise), East Khasi Hills District detected 16 cases with a seizure of 83.500 litres of i/d liquor and 43.170 litres IMFL besides the arrest of 13 persons under Excise Act.

The seizure were outcome of raids conducted in restaurants/stalls in the town and its outskirts during the month of October last.
