    IIM Shillong marked a significant academic milestone with its 16th Annual Convocation, conferring degrees on 475 students. Held on April 4, the graduating batch included 381 students from the Post Graduate Programme (PGP) 2023–25, 54 from the Post Graduate Programme for Executives (PGPEx) 2024–25, and 35 from the Post Graduate Programme for Working Executives (PGPWE) 2023–25. Additionally, five scholars were awarded Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees.

    The convocation was graced by Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma as Chief Guest and Honeywell India President Ashish Modi as Guest of Honour.

    IIM Shillong Board Chairman Shishir Kumar Bajoria, in his welcome address, congratulated the graduates and their families. He emphasized the significance of the graduation attire made from locally produced ‘Ryndia’ eri silk, which recently received the Geographical Indication (GI) tag. He encouraged the graduates to contribute meaningfully to society and align with the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.

    Guest of Honour Ashish Modi congratulated the graduates and offered practical advice, urging them to stay hungry, speak up, strive for excellence, master communication, and prioritize mental and physical health.

    Director Prof. DP Goyal presented the annual report, highlighting academic achievements, global partnerships, and the launch of the Integrated Programme in Management (IPM). He also noted the signing of 31 MoUs with leading management institutions worldwide.

    The convocation concluded with a formal pledge led by Dean (Academics) Professor Rohit Joshi, where graduates vowed to uphold ethical practices and contribute to society.

    • Shri Rathindranath Datta Gold Medal: Ms. Shefali – Highest CGPA
    • Director’s Gold Medal: Mr. Hritik Laddha – Best All-Rounder
    • Prof. Ashoke K Dutta Gold Medal: Mr. Hritik Laddha – Best All-Rounder
    • Institute Silver Medal: Mr. Bhanu Suri – Second Highest CGPA
    • Institute Gold Medal: Mr. Saurabh Matta – Positive Contribution to Campus Life

    Post Graduate Programme for Executives (PGPEx) 2024–25:

    • Chairman’s Gold Medal: Mr. Joslin George – Highest CGPA
    • Director’s Gold Medal: Mr. Nabarun Adhikari – Best All-Rounder

    Post Graduate Programme for Working Executives (PGPWE) 2023–25:

    • Chairman’s Gold Medal: Mr. Manu Saraogi – Highest CGPA

    Final Placement Report 2023–25: Industry Confidence in IIM Shillong Talent

    The PGP 2023–25 batch achieved exceptional placement outcomes, with participation from over 130 recruiters across diverse sectors.

    Key Highlights:

    • Highest CTC: Rs 71.5 LPA
    • Consulting & Strategy: 28.11% of total offers
    • Sales & Marketing: 20.71%
    • Finance & General Management: 18.05% each
    • IT & Analytics: 10.65%
    • HR & Operations: 4.44%
