5 kg rice & 1 kg pulses will be distributed soon in West Jaintia

In pursuance of the order from the Director, Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Meghalaya Shillong, the Deputy Commissioner, Supply, West Janitia Hills in an order issued on 18th April, 2020 has informed that additional allotment of Rice and pulses (DAL) under PMGAY will be distributed free cost to the beneficiaries of NFSA, AAY & PHH from 20th April, 2020 upto 30th April, 2020.

Rice will be distributed at the scale of 5 Kgs per head per month for the month of April, 2020 and Dal at the scale of 1Kg per household.

The Deputy Commissioner has directed the Government Approved Wholesale to lift the allotted quantity of Pulses (Masoor Dal) from the storage godown of M/S Heimon Hinge, Jowai and to comply with doorstep delivery of the commodities to the FPS centres and FPS dealers to be distributed to the beneficiaries.

The DC has also instructed the concerned wholesalers and FPS Dealers to maintain proper stock and issue register for the same.
