5 persons arrested under Excise Act in East Khasi Hills

During the month of March 2021, 5 persons have been arrested under Excise Act as Deputy Commissioner (Excise), East Khasi Hills District conducted raids in restaurants and stalls in the town and its outskirts in an effort to combat illicit liquor.

According to the press release, the Excise staffs detected 7 cases with a seizure of 25.500 litres of i/d liquor and 1.980 litres IMFL.
