7 new COVID-19 cases, 5 recovers in Meghalaya
The state has recorded 7 new COVID-19 cases and 5 recoveries on Thursday.
Director of Health Services (MI) Dr Aman War said all the 7 new cases were detected from East Khasi Hills district.
He said the patients who recovered from the viral infection include 2 from East Khasi Hills district, 1 West Jaintia Hills district, 1 West Khasi Hills district and 1 Ri Bhoi district.
So far, the state has detected a total of 13,931 COVID-19 cases out of which 166 are active cases, 13,617 recovered and 148 deaths.
East Khasi Hills has 109 active cases, West Jaintia Hills 29, Ri Bhoi 22, East Jaintia Hills 3, West Khasi Hills 2 and West Garo Hills 1.
On the other hand, of the 3,50,493 persons who have tested for COVID-19 in the state as on date, 3,36,562 were tested negative for the virus even as 52 persons are in institutional quarantine and 114 under home quarantine.
There are 90,781 entrants from outside the state.
