9 SPs & 3 DSPs conferred with Silver Medals for outstanding contributions

In recognition of their commendable service to the department, Director General of Police
Meghalaya R Chandranathan, IPS on Friday conferred the prestigious Silver Medal to nine Superintendent of Police and three Deputy Superintendent of Police.

According to order issued in pursuance of Section 96(3) of the Meghalaya Police Act, the Director General of Police conferred the “Director General of Police Commendation” or Silver Medal for their outstanding contributions towards the department.

Here are the list of recipient of the Silver Medal:

1. Sylvester Nongtnger, IPS Superintendent of Police East Khasi Hills, Shillong.
2. Rituraj Ravi, IPS Superintendent of Police South Garo Hills, Baghmara.
3. Jagpal S. Dhanoa, IPS Superintendent of Police, East Jaintia Hills, Khliehriat.
4. Shailerdra Bamaniya, IPS Superintendent of Police East Khasi Hills, Shillong.
5. Herbert G Lyngdoh, IPS Superintendent of Police, West Khasi Hills Nongstoin.
6. Vivek Syiem, IPS Superintendent of Police, East Khasi Hills, Shillong.
7. Bashanborlang J. Laloo, MPS Superintendent of Police South West Khasi Hills.
8. Chemphang Syrti, MPS Commandant 3rd MLP BN Sahbsein.
9. Billy Graham R. Marak, MPS Commandant 5th MLP BN Samgong.
10. Banraplang Jyrwa, MPS Dy Superintendent of Police East Khasi Hills, Shillong
