A man shot dead by armed miscreants

SHILLONG: One person died after he was shot by armed miscreants in a remote village along the international border in East Khasi Hills District.

The deceased have been identified as Romio Lyngdoh (50) from Lapalang village, Pynursla, police sources said.

Lyngdoh was immediately taken to the Shillong civil hospital where he was declared brought dead, they said.

According to sources, a case has been registered and police are still investigating into the matter.
