Abandoned baby eaten by animal in Meghalaya

A newly born baby was found abandoned in a forest at a place called Langkadur of Mihmyntdu, Jowai, West Jaiñtia Hills District, Meghalaya.

The baby wrapped inside a plastic bag was found by passer today at around 3 PM.

It was suspected that the baby was eaten by stray animals because one of its feet is missing from the body.

It was not confirmed if the baby is a girl or a boy. The body is now in the custody of the police of the Jowai police station.
