ABLTMA to launch mobile testing van for testing green leaves, industry minister Bimal Borah to inaugurate
The Assam Bought Leaf Tea Manufacturer’s Association (ABLTMA) is set to launch a mobile residue testing laboratory, “Eurofins Agro Laboratories” for testing green leaves at Teamafco in Alimur in Dibrugarh district.
A mobile testing van from Eurofins Analytics Services Private Ltd has already reached Dibrugarh to test green tea leaves and made teas and is being set up at Alimur near Dibrugarh town.
State industry minister Bimal Borah is scheduled to inaugurate the mobile testing van at Alimur at around 10.30 am on Monday.
“The operation of the van will commence in the presence of government officials and Tea Board officials, representatives of All Assam Small Tea Growers Association (AASTGA), office and bought leaf factory owners,” ABLTFMA chairman Chand Kumar Gohain said.
“We are committed to manufacturing good and safe tea for our consumers, which will also help our state regain the lost pride in our 200-year-old tea industry- besides being able to contribute more to the state exchequer,” Gohai added.
The testing lab is expected to play a crucial role in ensuring quality control and maintaining production standards for Assam’s renowned tea industry. This development marks a significant advancement in the region’s agricultural practices and supports the ongoing growth and reputation of Assam tea.
