ACHIK demands DC, SGH to restrict unauthorized trading inside office premises
The Achik Conscious Holistically Integrated Krima (ACHIK) has demanded the deputy commissioner of South Garo Hills to pass an order restricting unauthorized trading inside the office premises.
In a letter to the DC, general secretary of ACHIK South Garo Hills Wilban N Sangma said, “Yesterday, I witnessed a cloth seller entering inside your office premises and selling clothing items to employees during working hours and some of your staff members engaging with a cloth/garment seller who had entered the office premises. Instead of working, some employees were busy buying and browsing clothes inside the office.”
“I request you to restrict and prohibit any traders from entering the office, particularly in the general branch of your esteem office and instruct all departments under your jurisdiction to refrain from allowing cloth sellers or any other unauthorized vendors into the office,” he said while adding “This will help maintain a professional environment and ensure employees remain focus on their official duties. The office is not a marketplace; therefore, you should strictly prohibit and restrict all the traders from bringing and selling cloth/items inside the office premises.”
