A’chik group alleges poor quality construction at road project in Garobandha
A team of Garobadha Unit of A’chik State People’s Front (ASPF) on Sunday visited the road stretch from Borkona to Chondo Nokat in West Garo Hills district to examine the quality of construction work the department has done.
The organisation alleged poor-quality work carried out by JS Company in the road project against the estimated standards.
The A’chik group held the PWD responsible for such poor quality works.
Earlier, the ASPF appealed to the Public Works Department (PWD) in Tura for clearance of fallen earth on the Tura – Dalu Road near the Dobasipara Petrol Pump.
The incident happened due to the collapse of a retaining wall that has led to significant inconvenience and safety hazards for motorists and pedestrians.
The obstruction has particularly affected the narrow turning point on the road, heightening the risk for passersby.
The ASPF have urged to prioritize the clearance of the affected area and restore normalcy.
