Activities permitted to resume in East Jaintia Hills

The Deputy Commissioner, East Jaintia Hills District informed the general public that the additional activities permitted to resume in the District with effect from 7^th December, 2020 are Snooker, Billiards, Table tennis in Clubs/ Resorts/ Restaurants and Football Matches/ Tournaments subject to compliance with the SOPs being issued by the Sports and Youth Affairs.

The District Administration also permits Crèche in Anganwadi Centres, subject to compliance with the SOPs being issued by the Social Welfare Department, Government of Meghalaya.

Furthermore, all entities that wish to resume the above activities should seek permission from the Deputy Commissioner, East Jaintia Hills District confirming strict adherence to the prescribed SOPs and shall ensure strict compliance to these protocols and guidelines through periodic inspections and regulate the schedule and timings depending on the local situation and to meet the social distancing norms to be monitor by the concerned department.
