Admission to Sports School under State Level Khelo India Centre
SHILLONG: The Director of Sports and Youth Affairs has informed that talented players from the region will be screened by SAI on a date to be notified later for admission to Sports School under State Level Khelo India Centre administered by Assam Rifles Public School (ARPS), Laitkor Shillong in Athletics, Archery and Fencing.
The aspiring player should be studying in any class from Class VI to IX and once selected they will be admitted at Assam Rifles Public School Laitkor, Shillong and the entire cost of boarding, lodging and cost of education will be borne by the ARPS. Altogether 100 talented players (50 boys + 50 girls) from North-East will be selected for admission.
All aspiring students shall undergo Fitness and Sport Specific Tests which will be conducted by Sports Authority of India (SAI). Aspirants are to meet their own expenses during the selection trial.
Interested candidates are requested to submit their applications and form are available in the District Sports offices. The applicants must be supported by achievement certificates and birth certificates which should be submitted to the District Sports Offices, Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs on or before the 9th of March, 2020. Incomplete, insufficient information in the Application Form shall be summarily rejected.
