Adrenaline rush – Runners all set for the 2nd Sohra International Marathon
The runners for the 2nd International Marathon which is slated to be held on Saturday are all geared up for the international event, with an aim to be the first to cross the finishing line.

The AFI has sent 30 officials to oversee the event which has three categories – 21k, 10k and 5k.
Speaking to reporters, Working President of Meghalaya State Olympic Association John F Kharshiing informed that there will be six runners, male and female from Kenya.
He said that the total expenditure from the Sports department is not less than Rs 1 crore. The route will be from Laitsohpliah for the 21 k and Kharshiing promised a wonderful experience as the road is good.
Kharshiing informed that the cars will not be allowed along the Shillong-Sohra route from 6 am to 9 am.
