After 14 years, woman mustered courage against her father who raped and impregnated her

In an odious incident, a biological father with uncontrollable urges lusted on his daughter forcibly for over a decade to the extent of impregnating her and continued his immortal acts by intimidating her with dire consequences.

This incident came to light after a woman from one of the villages under the jurisdiction of Nartiang Police Station in West Jaintia Hills District lodged a firsthand information report (FIR) against her father on Saturday last.

According to the FIR, the woman informed that in the year 2007 when she was merely 13 years old her father raped her for the first time in one of the forested areas in their village and warned her of dire consequences if she opened her mouth to anybody.

However, the trauma for the 13 years old girl did not end there as she became pregnant in the very same year after she was subjected to continuous rape at the hand of her father who is supposed to be her protector.

Emboldened by the helplessness of the 13 years old girl, the father continued with his immortal act and impregnated her for the second time.  But the second child passed away at the age of two years.

The FIR read that she and her child stay in another location away but her father did not spared her there as he came to her house on the night of 27^th July, 2021 and told her to open the door but on her refusal, he kicked the door and verbally intimidated her.

The woman informed her family members of the incident and disclosed to them all of the agonies she endured for the past fourteen years at the hand of her father.

Encouraged by the moral support of her family members, the woman mustered courage to speak out against her father who ruined her life in all possible ways with the hope that justice will be serve to her but fact will remain that though no matter what quantum of punishment her father will receive it will never restore her lost glory and childhood.
