Agriculture exempted from total curfew

West Garo Hills District Magistrate, Ram Singh, issued an order on 24 May, thereby exempting the in-situ agricultural activities by villagers from the purview of total curfew to facilitate the farmers in the villages subject to strict compliance to Covid protocols.

The order also directed all the Agriculture Development Officers, Horticulture Development Officers and the Veterinary Extension Officers to take necessary action in coordination with the Block Development Officers of their respective jurisdiction.

The order further said that violation of any of the conditions will lead to revoking of the exemption order
