AHAM called for maintaining of status quo for job reservation
The Achik Holistic Awakening Movement called for maintaining of status quo for job reservation and demanded holding of winter session in Garo Hills Region.
The organisation has and will stand for the status quo of the reservation policy which was in agreement when the state was carved out for the three sister tribes of the state and would like to honour legendary leaders of the state who has decided in the best interest of the people of the state.
The policy scripted, enacted and sealed should at best be fought at the policy level which the democratic Constitution of India provides rather at the streets which at best would only generate disturbances of the communal harmony of the state.

The political gimmick and remarks which are threatening to the law and order of the state should be nip at the bud and the organisation therefore, request the present government not to entertain the political stunts and remarks to scrap policies which are maintained for 50 years of statehood.
