AJCCTA warns action against drivers who fail to cover their trucks carrying clinker

The All Jaintia Cement & Clinker Transporters’ Association (AJCCTA) on Tuesday warned to take stern action against drivers who fail to cover their trucks with tarpaulin while transporting clinker and fly-ashes.  

In a statement, AJCCTA president Balen Thubru said that the association is aware of the air pollution caused by trucks transporting clinker and fly-ashes thereby causing serious health hazards.

“Due to this increasing concern, the AJCCTA has decided to instruct and direct all drivers to properly cover their trucks with tarpaulin while transporting clinker and fly-ashes in order to prevent air pollution,” he said.

Thubru also warned that the association will take stern action against those who violates the direction/instruction in this regard.
