The National Testing Agency (NTA) is an independent and autonomous premier testing organization established by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.

NTA will conduct the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE)-2024 for admission to Class VI and Class IX in 33 Sainik Schools across the country for the academic year 2024-25. These English medium residential schools affiliated to CBSE aim to prepare cadets for entry into the National Defence Academy, Indian Naval Academy, and other Training Academies for Officers.

The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has approved 19 new Sainik Schools, operating in collaboration with NGOs, private schools, and State Governments. These schools, functioning under the Sainik Schools Society, will admit students to Class VI through AISSEE-2024 for the academic year 2024-25.

Date of Exam: 21.01.2024 (Sunday)
Mode of Exam: Pen paper (OMR Sheets based)
Paper Pattern: Multiple Choice Questions
Exam Cities: 186 cities across India (as mentioned in the Information Bulletin)

Eligibility Criteria:
For Class VI: Candidates should be between 10 and 12 years as of 31.03.2024. Admission for girls is open for Class VI, subject to the availability of vacancies.

For Class IX: Candidates should be between 13 and 15 years as of 31.03.2024 and should have passed Class VIII from a recognized school at the time of admission. Admission for girls is open for Class IX, subject to the availability of vacancies.

Exam Fee:
General/Wards of Defence personnel and ex-servicemen/OBC(NCL): Rs. 650/-
Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes: Rs. 500/-

Last date for submission of online application forms: 16.12.2023 (Up to 5.00 PM)
Last date for online fee payment: 16.12.2023 (11.50 PM).
