Ambrose as full fledged Chairman of MBoSE while Rosetta as Project Director of SSA

In order to streamline the functioning of the two organs of the Education department in the State, the Meghalaya Government has appointed IAS officers namely Ambrose Ch. Marak as full fledged chairman and Rosetta M Kurbah as State Project Director of the SSA, Meghalaya.

In a notification issued on Tuesday, Dr. Shakil P. Ahammed, IAS Principal Secretary to the Govt. of Meghalaya, Fisheries, Power Departments etc., is relieved of functions as Principal Secretary of Power Department

Ripnar Lyngdoh, IAS (SCS: 2003) Commissioner & Secretary of Personnel & A.R., Revenue & Disaster Management Departments etc., shall also function as Commissioner & Secretary of Public Works Department (Buildings).

She is however relieved of her functions as Commissioner & Secretary of Revenue & Disaster Management Department with effect from the date of handing over charge.

On return from Inter-state deputation, Sanjay Goyal, IAS (RR: 2004) is posted as Commissioner & Secretary of Revenue & Disaster Management Department.

On assumption of charge as Commissioner & Secretary of Revenue & Disaster Management Department, Goyal shall also function as Chairman, Board of Revenue.

Further, the services of the officer are partially placed at the disposal of Power Department for appointment as Chairman-cum-Managing Director of the Meghalaya Energy Corporation Limited and its three subsidiaries viz. Meghalaya Power Generation Corporation Limited (MPGCL), Meghalaya Power Transmission Corporation Limited (MPTCL) and Meghalaya Power Distribution Corporation Limited (MPDCL).

Kurbah Secretary to the Govt. of Meghalaya, Health & Family Welfare Department shall also function as Director, School Education & Literacy.

Further, the services of the officer are partially placed at the disposal of Education Department for appointment as State Project Director, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA).

Marak, Secretary of Education Department and Director, School Education & Literacy etc., is relieved of his functions as Director, School Education & Literacy

Further, the services of the officer are partially placed at the disposal of Education Department for appointment as Chairman, Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE).
