Amit Shah planted sapling in Meghalaya’s Raj Bhavan
Union Minister of Home Affairs, Amit Shah on Saturday planted a sapling of the Aura Cacia tree at Raj Bhavan, Shillong in the presence of Governor of Meghalaya, Brig. (Dr.) B.D Mishra (Retd.).
Shah is on a two days visit to the State to attend the 50th Golden Jubilee Celebration of the North Eastern Council.
Also present for the tree plantation ceremony were Meghalaya Chief Minister, Conrad K Sangma, Assam Chief Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma, Union Home Secretary, Ajay K Bhalla, Meghalaya Chief Secretary, D. P. Wahlang, Director General of the Assam Rifles, Lieutenant General Pradeep Chandran Nair, YSM, AVSM and Director General of Police Dr. Lajja Ram Bishnoi among others.
