Ampareen’s husband is the first Candidate to file nomination followed by Bah Heh
SHILLONG: Laitumkhrah MLA Ampareen Lyngdoh’s husband Fantin Joseph Lakadong today scripted his name in the pages of KHADC election of being the first Candidate to file the nomination for ensuing MDC election and he was followed by sitting Nongthymmai MDC Latiplang Kharkongor.
Lakadong an aluminus of Edmund’s College is a businessman by profession filed his nomination from Laitumkhrah Constituency on the Indian National Congress against UDP candidate and sitting MDC Antonio War At Dc Office Shillong.
Kharkongor who is also popularly known as Bah Heh file his nomination as independent candidate from Nongthymmai constituency and seeking entry to the house for the fourth consecutive terms.
Speaking to reporters, Kharkongor said that he is confident of winning the district council polls as he has been able to work for the interest of the people.
“I have always tried my best to bring developmental activities to the constituency and I’m confident that the people will still have faith in me by giving their support,” he said.
