Application invited for awards for encouraging non violence

The Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District has informed that Bhagan Mahaveer Foundation has instituted four awards in the field of Non-Violence and Vegetarianism, Education, Medicine, Community and Social Service and Women Social Entrepreneur/Achiever with Indian values. Each award carries a sum of Rs. 10, 00,000/-, a citation and a memento.

The aim of the foundation is to identify, nurture, encourage and honour individuals and institutions who are engaged in providing selfless service to the society and also encourage others to follow suit.
