Arunachal CM distributes portfolios to newly inducted ministers, home given to Mama Natung
Two days after being sworn in as chief minister of Arunachal Pradesh for a third term, Pema Khandu allocated portfolios among his cabinet colleagues giving the important home department to Mama Natung on Saturday.
Khandu keeps with him all the departments not assigned to the deputy chief minister or other ministers.
Deputy chief minister Chowna Mein was allocated finance, planning and investment departments apart from tax and excise, state lotteries, economics and statistics, power and non-conventional energy resources.
The lone woman minister DasangluPul was allocated to women and child development, cultural affairs, science and technology departments.
Mama Natung was allocated an important home portfolio apart from inter-state border affairs, public health engineering (PHE) and water supply and indigenous affairs department.
Biyuram Wahge, who was the president of Arunachal Pradesh BJP, was allocated health and family welfare and water resources department.
The newly-inducted cabinet minister Nyato Duka got commerce and industries, labour and employment and information and public relations and printing department.
Another Gabriel D Wangsu will look after agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, veterinary, dairy development fisheries, food and civil supplies, legal meteorology and consumer affairs department.
Wangki Lowang was assigned with the environment and forests, geology, mining and minerals and the departments of Tirap, Chandlang and Longding.
Former speaker Pasang Dorjee Sona, who is also a new face in the cabinet, was allocated to education, rural works, parliamentary affairs, tourism and libraries departments.
Balo Raja was given the portfolios of urban affairs and management and civil aviation, while Kento Jinni was given the responsibilities of law, legislative and justice, social justice, empowerment, tribal affairs, sports and youth affairs.
Ojing Tasing was given the charge of rural development and panchayati raj, cooperation and transport departments
