Arunachal minister Dasanglu Pul inspects Rs 18.6 cr school project, pushes for grassroots governance in Anjaw

Arunachal Pradesh Women and Child Development Minister Dasanglu Pul on Monday inspected the ongoing Rs 18.60 crore infrastructure development at Government Higher Secondary School, Hayuliang, emphasizing its role in enhancing educational standards in Anjaw district.
The state-of-the-art facility will include science laboratories, a mathematics and yoga room, an auditorium with a green room, a pantry for midday meals, a sick room, and an examination cell. Pul stressed that the project is more than just infrastructure—it’s about creating a holistic learning environment where students can excel both academically and personally.
Pul also attended the ‘Seva Aapke Dwar 2.0’ camp at Hayuliang General Ground, an outreach program designed to bring government services directly to citizens. Department heads set up stalls to help people access various welfare schemes. “We aim to bridge the gap between the administration and the public, ensuring benefits reach every household,” Pul stated.

Later, the minister participated in a coordination meeting with Gaon Buras (GBs) and Head Gaon Burahs (HGBs) of Anjaw district, reinforcing their role in local governance. The meeting, organized by the Anjaw general administration, focused on empowering village leaders. ADC Hayuliang led a session outlining the responsibilities of GBs and HGBs, highlighting the need for better coordination at the grassroots level.
“Strong local leadership is the backbone of effective governance. When village leaders are well-informed, the entire system benefits,” Pul said.

She was accompanied by Anjaw Superintendent of Police (SP) Rike Kamsi, Zilla Parishad Chairperson (ZPC) Soblem Pul, and other officials during the day’s events.
