Assam CM meets corporators of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation of Telangana

Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma met a delegation consisting of the corporators of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation of Telangana at Lok Sewa Bhawan on Wednesday.

The meeting was a part of the study tour that the Corporators embarked on to Assam.

Sarma while welcoming them greeted them warmly. Spending some time with them, he talked to them on different civic issues concerning urban governance. He also shared with them Guwahati’s experience in handling legacy wastes, civic amenities and solid waste management.

The Corporators while talking to the Chief Minister said that they felt happy as they could learn different aspects of urban governance from the practices of Guwahati Municipal Corporation. They also expressed their happiness and shared their experience with the Chief Minister.

Sarma besides extending his goodwill to the corporators who were around 60 in number belonging to BJP, Congress and BRS, conveyed his heartfelt greetings to the people of Telangana through them.

Information and Public Relations etc Minister Pijush Hazarika and Cultural Affairs etc Minister Bimal Bora, MLA Taranga Gogoi were also present during the meeting.
